great app I love cribage and this game is great when your on the go well worth the download.

It is not perfect. When I make a mistake counting and ask for the explanaiton it showes me the worng hand. that is if I am counting the crib it may show me my hand or so on. I have not tried to play on line. but i can play a game in ten or twelve minutes if I am in a hurry and thats fine by me. No one in my house will play cribbige and I am happy for this game. I have never had a problem with it crashing like other users. I am not a teck but I might sudjest deleating and reinstalling the game. I like it. some times I feel like it cheats but I still usualy can beat the computer on the hardest level.

I wish there was a third player on the single player mode — as on the I-Phone version.

really like this. Helps to learn pegging and counting the hand. However, the pegging points go by so quickly, I wish there as a little window that showed points and go’s. Also in the card counting sometimes a card suit is covered up by the card next to it. And the “explain” card diagrams are very very small. Having a lot of fun! Thanks.

Love the game. It is extremely addictive. Games are very quick and is a real challenge. I play the expert hands and just made 50 wins. It is supplanting solitaire for a solo game. Someday I may go on line and try my luck.

The last part of this review was done in May of 2014. Since then I’ve had problems with this game. At least several times a week the game causes my MacBook Pro to crash while playing the game. My computer also runs very hot while playing the game though not as hot as Angry Birds but hot. Probably what is causing the crashing. Cards are too small and still no may to change your mind when last card goes into the crib. Down graded to 3 stars due to crashing issues. Finally did the OSX upgrade and got the new improved game. It’s still probably the best cribbage game out there. Only 4 stars becasue I lost all of my old stats. Years worth. Another card game I have kept my stats after the OSX upgrade. Also years worth. Just sayin’.

I was disappointed that multi-player options are not an option like they are in iOS.

I play against the computer only. At this point, I have about 200 games on this machine at the expert level. My win ratio is 57% with 13 skunks to 7. My highest point hand is a 24, which I’ve gotten twice in 200 games. That is not true of the computer. Many games with the computer starts generally with a 20 or 24 on the first street….or a high hand to catch up on the third street. Uncanny luck? Not over 200 games. There is an obvious weighting toward “The House”. My wins normally involve very good pegging. The way I best the computer is generally through play, not cribs or cards retained for counting. So….is it a good game? It’s probably the best of the lot on the MacBook. Other games are more clearly in favor of the House. But it still isn’t random and it isn’t “fair”. One of these days, a company is going to have a fully randomized game and I’ll buy it. Until then, this is the one I brung to the dance.

Easy to play, with good graphics. I am not an expert but have already seen that the computer is a good tactician and opponent. I can beat it, but need to be sharp!

The interface is confusing. The sounds are annoying. There are better cribbage games out there. This one was a waste of $.

The game has a nice interface and is generally fun to play, but there are two gripes that I have: 1) the opponent does not seem to be given radom cards. There appears to be a lot of rubber-banding going on at the expert level. It causes the game to become less fun over time, I haven’t played nearly as much since I made these observations. 2) the interface for entering a score does not allow for keyboard / keypad entry. this is especially frustrating since the majority, if not everyone, playing will be using a laptop.

Been playing for quite a while now at the Expert level. I tend to let the computer count points for me. I sometimes ask for a Hint on what to discard to the crib. I have to be very careful not automatically accepting the hint since the computer has been very, very wrong. Otherwise, I love the speed. The board is very clear. Overall….great game!!

This is a very good version of Cribbage. Easy to use interface and different AIs, but it needs features from the IOS version like multiplayer and 3-player cribbage.

This has been my go to game until it quit working with el capitan.

I should have listened…this program freezes my computer and I have to force it to quit to resume playing…not fun!

I love this app, I have it on both my iPhone and MacBook Pro. It’s intuitive, simple and easy-to-use. I didn’t know how to play Cribbage when I first downloaded and now I’m a pro. Great for beginners. The only thing I wish they would add is online multi-player. The computer is great to play against, but would definitely be more fun if you could play with your friends. Also, it would be cool if they added more customizations to it for the cards and tables. Other than that, this is a great single-player app to hone your Cribbage skills in.

The preferences in this are byzantine. Also, the difficulty levels are achieve through allowing the computer to cheat. Pitiful effort and not worth even 2.00.
