Good, but needs improvement.

I play against the computer only. At this point, I have about 200 games on this machine at the expert level. My win ratio is 57% with 13 skunks to 7. My highest point hand is a 24, which I’ve gotten twice in 200 games.

That is not true of the computer. Many games with the computer starts generally with a 20 or 24 on the first street….or a high hand to catch up on the third street. Uncanny luck? Not over 200 games. There is an obvious weighting toward “The House”. My wins normally involve very good pegging. The way I best the computer is generally through play, not cribs or cards retained for counting.

So….is it a good game? It’s probably the best of the lot on the MacBook. Other games are more clearly in favor of the House. But it still isn’t random and it isn’t “fair”. One of these days, a company is going to have a fully randomized game and I’ll buy it. Until then, this is the one I brung to the dance.
